Front desk speakers are connected to each front desk computer via USB. The speakers are enabled to set off a buzzer when accounts with a red screen scan their barcodes (expired, cancelled, delinquent, wrong home gym for basic, etc.)


If the speaker is not buzzing and the computer shows the speaker is connected in sound settings with volume maxed, please try playing a YouTube video on the computer to test the speaker. 



If the speaker does not play the sound from the video, the computer volume is turned down or the speaker is unplugged. 


PLEASE NOTE: The computer will NOT allow you to adjust the volume when there is no speaker connected. If the volume is muted and will not let you adjust it, then the computer is not seeing the speaker. 


If the speaker is plugged in but the computer says No Output Devices Found (in sound settings) then please unplug the speaker and plug it back in to a different USB port. 



If the speaker plays sound from YouTube but not PAC, or if the speaker still shows disconnected after being plugged in, please submit a ticket with IT.
